Panic or Duress Zones
An activation of a panic or duress zone will cause an immediate response.
Although activating a panic or duress zone will cause an immediate response from the police, the alarm itself is silent. Panic devices cause no visible zone violation on the alarm keypad. We don’t want the keypad to alert the intruder that an alarm has been activated. Doing so could cause injury or death to the person pushing the panic button.

A medical emergency is also considered a panic alarm. These alarms can be either audible or silent. When these alarms are activated, the monitoring station alerts the fire department or EMS to respond with life-saving equipment.
