Locating Fires

Okay, so the alarm system knows that a device on the loop has caused an alarm. But does it know which one?

Can it actually tell us where the fire is?

It may not be able to tell us the exact location of the fire. However, the layout of the loops (or zones) may help determine where the fire is located. If the system has alerted us that there is an issue only on Zone 2, we know that checking the devices on Zone 2 takes first priority.

In situations dealing with fire, we don’t want to waste precious seconds on areas that are not in alarm.
