Dial Adjustment #1

Some motion sensors have adjustments for sensitivity. Others, have a way to “mask off” areas they don’t want to monitor, like a road.

There are two separate dial adjustments on the back of this sensor. The top dial turns the LED sensor light on or off. Criminals can use this light to indicate the distance capability of the motion sensor. They do this by walking a path to see if the motion sensor LED is tripped by their movement. Many installers turn off this light after testing for this reason.
