Zone:
A designated area within a property covered by a specific sensor or set of sensors in an alarm system.
Zone Bypass:
A temporary deactivation of a specific zone or sensor within the alarm system, often used for convenience or maintenance.
Zone Types:
When an alarm is sent to the monitoring station by the control panel, the zone type is also transmitted. Zone types include, panic alarms, motion sensors, fire alarms, perimeter doors, and more. This information allows the correct authorities to be contacted.
