Away and Stay Mode

What’s the difference between arming a system Away or Stay?

Not all alarms require you to enter a code to arm the system. Some alarm systems have one-button arming. To arm all these systems, the input devices like door contacts and motion sensors must be secure. The system will indicate it is “Ready To Arm.

When you arm in the Away Mode, pressing “Arm AWAY” will secure all the zones. No one can be inside the home or business.

Entering “Arm STAY,” will begin the “Stay Mode.” This means that all perimeter doors and windows will be armed. It also means that interior motion sensors will not be armed. Stay mode allows movement inside the house or business without sending an alarm. If one were to open a monitored window or door, it would activate the alarm.
