Continuity is a complete path. It is continuous. Having a complete path is a good thing when you’re talking about wiring. A broken wire is not a continuous path. It has no continuity.

When you check continuity on a relay, the common and normally closed terminals have continuity, a complete path. The common and normally open terminals have no continuity unless you “Energize” the relay.
